Friday evening, December 1st, was the official opening and dedication of a new complex housing a basketball arena and physical education classrooms at the Poyen (AR) School District. The arena features a seating capacity large enough to allow the school district to host basketball tournaments, a fully-equipped concession venue, and lockers rooms for both junior high and senior high teams. The new facility also includes an indoor training area, and a professional development conference room that can double as a hospitality room during events at the arena. Among the attendees at the dedication were past and present school board members, as well as elected officials representing the central Arkansas area. The building was designed by French Architects and C.R. Crawford served as the Construction Manager/General Contractor.
A significant milestone in many projects is when the time comes to hoist the last piece of structural steel to the top of a building’s structure.
A “wall-breaking” ceremony was recently held at the Siloam Springs Fire Station No. 2, located in downtown Siloam Springs.
